As promised!

As we announced last week, the 3rd of ESO students have been doing a treasure hunt around the highschool, including the old building, the new building, the playground, the sports facilities and what we know as the "J" building.

What did they have to do?

They worked in pairs or groups of three students. Following different hints, they had to find QR codes around the school. And they scanned the codes to find the answers to a questionaire which included questions of 8 different topics... including geography, natural science, and British culture, amongst others.

With this activity, they have practiced the passive voice in the present and past tenses, and they have improved their ITC competence while having some fun. These pictures prove it!

The Big Challenge was here

The 11th and12th of May, some of our bravest students took the Big Challenge contest!

As the official website states:

The Big Challenge is an English language contest for students between the ages of 11 and 16. It is held every year in May in schools across France, Germany, Austria, Spain and Sweden.
(...)
Created in France in 1999 by a group of English teachers, its main purpose is to motivate students learning languages with an educational yet fun experience.

The contest consisted of a multiple choice test including grammar, vocabulary, everyday English, as well as culture questions. The difficulty depends on the students' ESO level, and they can win several prizes.

We'll see the final results very soon!

Working with QR codes!

Some 3rd of ESO groups have done (or are going to do) a treasure hunt in the highschool, using QR codes.

We'll show you some photos as soon as possible!
What is a QR code?
What is a QR code and why do you need one?
